Marvel really made a huge mistake with not making a Black Widow movie sooner. If they had just made it back when the fans wanted, in 2013, it probably would’ve made a decent amount of money and been really popular on here for awhile

But now they’ve waited too long and the fans have noticed all the problematic aspects of how Black Widow is written, along with how shitty a person Scarlet Johansen is, that people don’t give a shit that she finally does have a movie coming out

Chances are now that it’s gonna flop and all the movie executives are going to smoke their giant cigars in their big offices and say “Well, looks like big budget movies with female leads don’t sell, just like we thought, let’s never try to make a big budget female led movie ever again” and pat themselves on the back for their ingenuity when it’s their own damn fault (Along with Scarjo being a shitty person)

They need to recast the role

Thing is…

…they could.

Think about it: BW is a spy, whose face is now plastered all over the media. Her espionage career–arguably her major contribution to the team–is over. So now she has to either:

  1. Get plastic surgery, or (my favorite)
  2. Utilize a series of elaborate disguises for each scene. We never see OG Widow again, instead seeing her portrayed by Lucy Liu, Halle Berry (in a white wig, of course), Gal Gadot, Rosario Dawson (for a fun Daredevil crossover mix up), and Judi Dench.

We leave the theatre wondering if we’ve ever seen the real Natasha Romanov.
