Nope, it doesn’t specify anywhere that it has to only be two people. So yeah, your plan of a polyamorous party would work fine! One of my group members’ plans, however – capture a cultist, cut his limbs off, force him to marry someone, kill him after 7 days when the AC wears off, resurrect him, rinse and repeat – would not. For many mechanical and moral reasons.
