gelunnucifera:

i love how you can tell that matt mercer has lived mostly in FL and So-Calby his worldbuilding

like, his world clearly has an axial tilt granting 4 seasons (so it is fairly significant for its distance to its sun), and both wildemount and whitetstone are described as being far enough north that it gets snow during the mid to late autumn

but the sunset it always at around 6 pm (because magic fantasy world)

like, at that point, that far from the equator, you should expect it to to start deviating a lot. if it is approaching the winter solstice, i expect the sun to set closer to 4:30 pm (esp once you are up near rexxentrum and the greying wildlands), particularly since the world doesn’t have enough clocks to require daylight savings time. if it is summer solstice, keep the sun up until like 7:30-8 pm at least.
